Temecula's roads are in A- condition, consultant says

Temecula’s 325 miles of roadway are in better-than-average condition, a consultant told the city council, July 24.

Stephen Smith of IMS Infrastructure Management told the council he’d rate the city an A-minus for road conditions.

Temecula streets averaged a pavement condition index score of 65 out of 100 in a survey conducted by his company, which Smith called “very healthy.”

Average is considered between 60 and 65, he said.

“To put it in perspective, our friends down in Carlsbad are in the upper 70s,” Smith said. “Beverly Hills… in the 70s.”
