With temperatures lingering in the low 80s Saturday evening, Aug. 4, the weather was just about perfect for the outdoor, country music jamboree provided by the ninth annual Sundresses and Cowboy Boots Country Music Festival at Longshadow Ranch Winery.

The event was produced by HeyDay Events, and close to 300 people turned out for the festival, seated in lawn chairs under patio lights strung between trees in the garden setting. In front of the stage, there was a dance floor that saw concertgoers line-dancing the night away.

"Heyday's ninth annual Sundresses and Cowboy Boots Country Music Festival was a phenomenal success," HeyDay's Robert Rankin Walker said. "From mechanical bull riding to the greatest in country fashion, there was something for everyone."

The evening kicked off with performances by Jaece Simon, Kelsey Bridges, Chad Shelhart and Robert Rankin Walker with special guest vocalist Kristine Turner.

Headlining the event for the second time was former backing vocalist for Taylor Swift, Liz Huett. The 31-year-old belted out some of her original songs and tossed in a few covers from artists like Justin Bieber and more to keep the crowd moving.

"Liz Huett's stellar performance hit the hearts and moved the bodies of everyone there," Walker said. "We look forward to next year's 10th annual event."
