Firefighters quickly contain six-acre blaze in Sage

According to CalFire Riverside County, a six-acre blaze started this morning in Sage, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze within an hour.

CalFire Riverside County firefighters responded to a 10:18 a.m. report of a vegetation fire at the 31000 block on Old Ranch Road in Sage this morning.

The first arriving Chief Officer reported approximately six acres of vegetation burning at a moderate rate of spread. By 11 a.m., CalFire reported that the fire had been contained.

Called the Cactus Fire, 75 firefighters and six engine companies are working the blaze.
