Wounded man takes air ambulance flight after Reed Valley shooting

An air ambulance helicopter lands in Reed Valley Road to collect a person with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds Monday, Aug. 6.

One man was sent to the hospital by air ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting in Reed Valley Monday, Aug. 6.

According to Deputy Robyn Flores of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Public Information Office, officers received a report of a shooting shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday morning in the 39000 block of Reed Valley Road in Aguanga.

The unresponsive victim, who officials have not identified, was located with gunshot wounds and sent by air ambulance to the hospital. The person's condition is currently unknown.

A canine unit was deployed to canvas the area, but no suspect was located.
