Hemet housing gains seen in growing southwest Riverside County

Housing construction is on the upswing in Hemet like those in the William Lyon Homes 193-home Hideaway series on Fruitvale Avenue off State Street in Hemet.

A turnaround in housing construction, sales and rentals in southwest Riverside County is becoming more apparent as new homes are seen under construction along the major highways and parkways leading to the local communities.

Hemet, with its 86,500 residents at the last census, is the latest city in the southwest county to see the growth, offering the lowest average listing prices for new homes in the area at $205,777 compared to Menifee, which is one of the newest cities in the region, at $325,422, according to www.Trulia.com, a real estate trends website.
