Murrieta passes resolution to oppose SB 54 'sanctuary' law

Murrieta is the latest to join a wave of conservative California municipalities going on the record in opposition to a controversial “sanctuary state” law passed by the state Legislature last year.

Murrieta City Council voted unanimously at its Aug. 7 council meeting to call for the repeal of Senate Bill 54, the state law that limits the ability of state and local law enforcement to assist federal agents in enforcing immigration law.
