Community comes together to support families affected by Cranston Fire

HUSD and community volunteers load donations into a truck for delivery to victims of the Cranston Fire.

HEMET – Hemet Unified School District's Parent Resource Center, Therapeutic Horsemanship Equestrian Center, Presco Laundry band together to help district students whose families were affected by the Cranston Fire with recovery efforts and clean clothes for back-to-school.

The weeks leading up to the new school year caused uncertainty for families in Idyllwild, Anza and Aguanga due to the Cranston Fire. Many families in Idyllwild were forced to evacuate their homes as the fire grew, and families in Anza and Aguanga suffered from power outages for 10 days.
