Four pedestrians struck and injured in Perris

PERRIS - Four pedestrians were injured Saturday in Perris when they were struck by a vehicle driven by a man suspected of drugged driving.

The crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Perris Boulevard and Nuevo Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

A man, a woman and two juveniles were struck by the vehicle and were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, sheriff's officials said.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a narcotic.

The identities of the victims and the driver were not disclosed.
