Volunteers revitalize the Rancho Damacitas Empowerment Village playground

Volunteers from area United Methodist Churches build a large playground structure with two slides, swings and a rock-climbing wall for Rancho Damacitas.

Forty volunteers took part in revitalizing the playground on Rancho Damacitas' 12-acre campus, Saturday, Aug. 25. Arriving before 7 a.m., the volunteers stayed for four hours, disassembling the old playground and rebuilding an improved outdoor area to adapt to the new Empowerment Village.

The playground installation was at no cost to the nonprofit organization and led by The United Methodist Churches in Temecula and Murrieta.
