No action taken by Hemet City Council following city manager evaluation

A hastily called special Hemet City Council meeting to evaluate City Manager Alan Parker’s performance and to discuss labor negotiations with the Hemet Firefighters Association resulted in “no report” after a five-hour, closed-door discussion Thursday, Aug. 23.

Recently, Parker, who was permanently hired as the city manager by the city less than a year ago, has come under criticism by some members of the council, but he has helped design the first balanced budget for the city for many years.
