Proposition 6 to repeal fuel tax and vehicle fee increase is placed on Nov. 6 ballot

One year after approving Senate Bill 1, the California Road Repair and Accountability Act 2017, a coalition of organizations banded together to introduce Proposition 6, otherwise known as the Voter Approval for Future Gas and Vehicle Taxes and 2017 Tax Repeal Initiative.

Proposition 6 would effectively repeal the gas and diesel taxes and vehicle fee increases enacted in 2017 and require voter approval through ballot propositions for the California Legislature to impose, increase or extend fuel taxes or vehicle fees in the future.
