Temecula Valley Players put on 'In the Heights'

The Temecula Players' productions often feature elaborate sets and a large cast. Their annual production of "A Christmas Carol" is a fan favorite.

The summer days are long and hot in the Washington Heights. Amid tearful arrivals and tearful departures, the citizens of the small Latin community yearn to return to their homes in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic but struggle to pay their rent and keep their businesses running in the stressful city of New York.

Starting Sept. 6, Lin-Manuel Miranda's "In the Heights" is coming to Temecula. The show's three-week run will take place at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. It will be performed by the Temecula Valley Players, the oldest theater company in Temecula.
