WILDOMAR - Four people were injured on Wednesday, Sept. 12, two seriously, in a two-vehicle crash at a Wildomar intersection that left one of the victims temporarily trapped in the wreckage.

The collision was reported at 2:50 p.m. at Olive and Orchard streets, just west of Interstate 15, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

A battalion chief at the scene said two people suffered major injuries, and both were immediately taken to nearby Inland Valley Medical

Center for treatment. Another victim had minor injuries and was transported to the same facility.

The party trapped in the wreckage was pried out by firefighters using industrial saws. The operation took about 20 minutes, according to reports from the scene.

That patient was taken to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
