LAKE ELSINORE - A driver's license and sobriety checkpoint in Lake Elsinore nabbed one drunken driver, a sheriff's sergeant said on Sunday.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department conducted the checkpoint between 8 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday at Collier Avenue and Enterprise Way.

Of the 486 drivers screened, one person was arrested for drunken driving and four people were either cited or arrested for driving unlicensed or with a suspended license, said Sgt. James Woodland.

In addition, 11 citations were issued for various other vehicle code violations.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
