State Water Board says Lake Elsinore algal blooms at dangerous levels

The California State Water Board issued its annual pre-Labor Day Assessment Aug. 31, and issued a danger advisory that recommended no swimming or direct water contact for humans and pets.

The advisory is linked to a study by California state and regional water boards which conducted targeted sampling at many popular lakes and streams that have a history of harmful algal blooms.
