Hemet Elks car show benefits homeless vets

Visitors look at some of the 30 hot rods and classic cars lining the Hemet Elks Lodge parking lot Saturday, Sept. 8, at 1305 W. Florida Ave. The annual Elks car show proceeds will benefit homeless vets.

The Hemet Elks Lodge 1740 in Hemet gathered its members and invited hot rod and classic car owners from southwest Riverside County together Saturday, Sept. 8, for its second annual car show to benefit homeless vets.

The show was a great success as 30 show cars and their owners filled the lodge parking lot and more than 500 guests attended to enjoy the Saturday morning hamburger and hot dog lunch, raffles and a large indoor boutique provided by the Elks Auxiliary.
