Gunfights and jump houses – Western Days draws crowds to Old Town Temecula

An Old Town Temecula Gunfighters player readies himself to draw on a rival gunfighter in a skit during Temecula Western Days Saturday, Sept. 15, at Sam Hicks Monument Park in Temecula.

There was trouble on the streets of Old Town Temecula at high noon Saturday, Sept. 15, but it was all in good fun as part of Temecula's Western Days' celebration.

Hundreds of onlookers watched as a rag-tag group of would-be bank robbers, portrayed by the Old Town Temecula Gunfighters, headed into The Bank building at the intersection of Front and Main streets in Temecula, bent on stealing some money.

"Sure looks to me like those boys are up to no good," a lady said; she stood with a group of other women dressed in their Old West finest watching the plot unfold.
