Police investigation nets illegal indoor marijuana grow, suspect

Eric Long, 33, of Temecula was arrested in connection with an illegal indoor marijuana grow at a residence in Temecula on Tuesday.

The Temecula Police Department's Special Enforcement Team on Wednesday, Oct. 3, reported that officers served a search warrant on the 45800 block of Corte Lerma in Temecula on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and uncovered an illegal indoor marijuana grow operation within a single family residence.

Riverside County Sheriff's Department officers recovered more than 60 mature marijuana plants in an illegally modified grow room inside of the residence.

During the service of the search warrant, Eric Long, 33, of Temecula was arrested and investigating officers recovered more than 60 mature marijuana plants in an illegally modified grow room inside of the residence. Along with the mature plants, officers also located and seized more than 7 lbs. of harvested marijuana products.

The service of the search warrant was the end of a monthlong investigation.

Police said the investigation is on-going, and anyone with information pertaining to the case is asked to contact Officer Garcia of the Temecula Police Department's Special Enforcement Team through the department's non-emergency line at (951) 696-3000.
