St. Nicholas festival celebrates Greek culture in Temecula

Home to classical architecture, beautiful tavernas and the much-loved filo pastry, Greek culture has had a large impact on America. Even in the small city of Temecula, its influence can be felt in a series of popular restaurants that span the city.

Before a few years ago, however, these restaurants typically contained Americanized cuisine and a thoroughly Western atmosphere. Temecula held little in terms of authentic Greek cuisine, traditional folk performances and cultural celebration.
