MSJC 'Manufacturing Day' gives students a chance to learn about trades

Menifee Mayor Bill Zimmerman welcomes Santa Rosa Academy students to the Manufacturing Day event at Mount San Jacinto College consisting of panel discussions and tours of MSJC's makerspace, Oct. 5.

Mt. San Jacinto College celebrated Manufacturing Day by giving students a chance to learn about jobs with demonstrations and presentations.

Held in conjunction with the city of Menifee, California Manufacturing Technology Consulting and the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, the event provided an "opportunity to inspire and recruit the next generation of manufacturers," the college said.

The event, held at the Menifee Valley Campus, included presentations from a panel of industry experts and a tour of Mt. San Jacinto College's Eagle makerspace.

The Menifee Valley Campus is located at 28237 La Piedra Road.
