San Jacinto $1.8 million downtown road rehabilitation project approved by council

San Jacinto City Council approved the expenditure of $1,818,000 for the repaving of the city's downtown Main Street and adjoining streets Hardy & Harper of Santa Ana with a 5-0 vote, Tuesday, Oct. 2.

San Jacinto City Manager Rob Johnson gained the council's approval after showing slides of badly broken up pavement on Main Street and several other streets in the downtown area. It has been years since the city has been able to repave one of the city's most traveled roadways.

Along with the slides, a needed $186,000 contingency cost was added to the total to cover any unexpected soft costs...
