Wine Town Rollers invite boys and ghouls of all ages, announce 'Night of the Skating Dead'

Wine Town Rollers host the Cuttlefish of SoCal Derby and the Night of the Skating Dead Roller Derby double header, Saturday, Oct. 20, in Temecula.

TEMECULA – The Wine Town Rollers, Temecula Valley's first roller derby league, will be hosting a double-header roller derby bout Saturday, Oct. 20, at Margarita Community Park, 29119 Margarita Road, in Temecula. Doors open 4:30 p.m. with the junior derby league kicking off the night with a mini bout featuring Mummies Little Monsters versus the Cereal Killers, 5 p.m. The Wine Town Rollers battle against the Cuttlefish, 8 p.m., with the spooky-themed, sixth annual Night of the Skating Dead: Vampires versus Zombies to finish things off, starting 7:30 p.m. Entry is free; however, donations can be made to the league in-person or at http://paypal.me/winetownrollersca.

Attendees are asked to bring a folding chair and snacks and can pick any spot next to the track.

Wine Town Rollers is devoted to the hard-hitting world of women's flat-track roller derby and is a full member league of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association. The league is currently comprised of two home teams, the Bordeaux Bombshells and Team ChamPAIN, in addition to the WFTDA charter travel team, the Whine Makers. Wine Town Rollers also has a 16-week Raisinette training program for new skaters learning skating skills and the game of roller derby, as well as a junior league for boys and girls ages 7-17, the Juice Box Crushers.
