Fender presents Komen with 5 custom guitars

Fender Guitar presents five custom guitars in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to Susan G. Komen Inland Empire, including left to right, Salvador Montes,  Fender vice president of manufacturing and plant manager; Luis Tavares, Fender manufacturing operations manager; Kamesha Miles, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire missions programs coordinator; Chelsea Conan, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire marketing coordinator; Claudia Urcid, Fender human resources manager; Kevin Peete, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire board member; Sonia Briseno, breast cancer survivor and Komen advocate; Jill Eaton, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire executive director; Michelle De Armond, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire board member; Julie Ruff, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire development manager; Abraham Mendoza, Fender Guitar repair technician; Dr. Sandra Finestone, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire board president; Nicolette Rubio, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire office administrator and Joy Budnovich, breast cancer survivor.

TEMECULA – Fender Guitar presented five custom instruments to Susan G. Komen Inland Empire, Oct. 2, in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer survivors Sonia Briseno and Dr. Sandra Firestone, a member of the Komen board, spoke to a packed room of Fender employees, many of whom shed tears as they heard Briseno's tale of survival.

The Inland Southern California nonprofit organization plans to auction off four guitars, possibly with the autographs of some musicians, at different events to raise funds for Susan G. Komen Inland Empire.
