Local food ministries serve community members in need

FUN Group volunteers serve up the free monthly hot meal at the Community Hall.

Anza has several food pantries or ministries to assist people in the Anza Valley to make ends meet. With Anza being termed "economically depressed and under served," this help is appreciated weekly by retirees, the unemployed and the working poor.

The Anza Friends Uniting Neighbors Group offers food boxes at the Community Hall Thursdays starting 11 a.m. Volunteers who do the separating, packing and organizing get a free box, while medium and large boxes are available for purchase at $15 and $30 respectively.
