Motorcyclist seriously hurt in collision on highway east of Temecula

ANZA – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday, Oct. 19, in a collision involving a pickup truck near the Cahuilla Indian Reservation in Anza.

The crash was reported about 1:40 p.m. on state Route 371, just west of Cary Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the scene within 10 minutes and determined that the rider, whose name was not immediately released, needed to be airlifted to a hospital.

A Mercy Air crew arrived about 2:30 p.m. and retrieved the man, who was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.
