New dinosaur fossils, kin to Tyrannosaurus rex arrive at Western Science Center

The Western Science Center in Hemet welcomes a new dinosaur fossil, Dynamoterror dynastes, from the Menefee Formation in New Mexico and seen in this artist rendering.

HEMET – More dinosaurs find a new home at the Western Science Center in Hemet with the arrival of the latest, a once ferocious Dynamoterror dynastes, a top predator that once wandered the plains of what is now New Mexico. Good thing they are only fossils.

The Dynamoterror dynastes was a tyrannosaur from the Menefee Formation in New Mexico. The name Dynamoterror dynastes can be translated from Latin as "powerful terror ruler."
