Adherence to annual lung cancer screening needs improvement

CHARLESTON, S.C. – A study from the Thoracic Oncology Research Group, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care from the Medical University of South Carolina, aimed to examine the adherence to annual low-dose computed tomography screening after baseline cancer screening within the Veteran Health Administration Lung Cancer Screening Demonstration Project. The study was presented at the CHEST journal annual meeting 2018 in San Antonio, and a discussion highlighted the latest updates made since the CHEST Lung Cancer Screening Guidelines.
