MWD approves Lake Mathews tank replacement design

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California will be replacing the sodium hypochlorite tanks at Lake Mathews.

A unanimous board vote, Oct. 9, appropriated $1.5 million for three projects including the Lake Mathews’ tank replacement design, authorized the design for the improvements and found the modifications to existing facilities to be exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review.
