LAKE ELSINORE - A transient was jailed on Thursday, Nov. 1 on suspicion of burglarizing a business in Lake Elsinore.

Officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a burglary at a business in the area of Lakeshore and Riverside drives, according to Sgt. Jeff Reese of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The owner told officers the business was closed when the man, identified as Estevan Ramos, 39, forced his way inside and stole an item, Reese said.

Authorities quickly located Ramos carrying the stolen item and, after he was positively identified by the business owner, took him into custody, Reese said.

Ramos was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of burglary.
