Julienne Celestino, 36, and Jherrold Nocon, 35, both of Homeland, were arrested Friday on various felony and misdemeanor charges.

Murrieta Police Department reported the arrest of two Homeland residents following an hourlong standoff at a Murrieta residence.

Suspects Julienne Celestino, 36, and Jherrold Nocon, 35, were later booked at Cois Byrd Detention center on various felony and misdemeanor charges.

Police said Murrieta officers responded to a report of a man with a gun call at 7:22 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 on the 26000 block of Peachwood Drive in Murrieta.

The caller told dispatch that his son's ex-wife (Celestino) and her new boyfriend (Nocon) just arrived at the residence and were attempting to take custody of a minor child. Nocon was at the front door armed with an assault rifle.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located the Celestino and Nocon inside a vehicle near the residence and were uncooperative, refusing to exit their vehicle. Both suspects reportedly had loaded AR-15 magazines on their person.

After the hourlong standoff, officers deployed chemical agents and less-lethal bean bag rounds until the pair exited the vehicle and were taken into custody. Officers located an AR-15 rifle and a shotgun inside the vehicle.

Celestino and Noconwere treated at the scene by paramedics.

Murrieta Police is requesting anyone with information regarding the incident, call the on-duty watch commander at (951) 696-3615 or provide information anonymously through "We Tip" at 1-800-78-CRIME.
