Murrieta Mesa hosts blood drive

MURRIETA – Murrieta Mesa High School is hosting a mobile blood drive in partnership with San Diego Blood Bank, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, in the practice gym at 24801 Monroe Ave. in Murrieta.

About one in seven people entering a hospital need blood. One pint of blood, which is the amount volunteers give when they donate blood, can save up to three lives. Since blood is always needed, volunteers are asked to give blood for patients, such as those going through cancer or trauma.

Donors must meet the eligibility requirements, be at least 17 years old, weight at least...
