Jesus "Chuy" Guzman

Jesus "Chuy" Guzman, wanted for questioning in multiple murders in the Antelope Valley and Littlerock area, as well as a home invasion murder in Menifee in February was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting on Nov. 8, according to officials.

The officer-involved shooting involving members of the U.S. Marshals Service and Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force happened in in Inyo County.

Guzman was deceased at the scene and a weapon was recovered.

Guzman was wanted in connection with the death of Silvano Esteves, 43, who was killed at his Menifee home during an early-morning botched home-invasion robbery. Investigators found a large amount of marijuana on Esteves' property located in the 27700 block of Monroe Avenue and believe the suspects targeted Esteves as a result.

Witnesses described seeing several men fleeing the property after the homicide.

Both Riverside and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Departments were working collaboratively to locate and apprehend Guzman.

Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to call Investigator Joshua Manjarrez of the Riverside Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3530, or Investigator Martin Alfaro of the Riverside Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3528.
