Task force serves warrants, recovers 21 weapons

On Tuesday Nov. 6, the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force coordinated the service of 10 search warrants within the cities of Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, and Oceanside. The warrants were related to a handgun related assault with a deadly weapon investigation believed to be related to a local motorcycle club.

Participating teams included Region 6 Gang Task Force, Region 7 Gang Task Force, Region 3 Gang Task Force, Region 1 Gang Task Force, Murrieta Police Department's SET Team, MPD Detective Bureau, MPD Probation Compliance Team, MPD K-9, Central PACT Team, RAID, Riverside County DA GIT Team, Riverside County DA SAU Team, RSO Lake Elsinore POP/SET Team, RSO Menifee / Perris SET Team, RSO Temecula POP / SET Teams, RSO SIB Detectives, the Riverside County District Attorney's Office, and the Oceanside PD Gang Team.

Twenty-one weapons were seized including at least one that had been converted into a fully automatic assault rifle. More than an ounce of methamphetamine and cocaine were also seized along with several hundred dollars related to the sales of drugs.

Six people were arrested on a variety of narcotic and weapon-related charges. Charges will also be filed against four additional people related to evidence located during the warrant services.

Subjects arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center were John Paul Blas, Murrieta; Matthew Dixon, Lake Elsinore; Jonathan Bloom, Murrieta; Charles Foster, Murrieta; Jeremiah Sullivan, Wildomar; and Erica Bolton, Wildomar.
