Temecula pushes forward with adopt-a-park program development

In a concise Temecula City Council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 23, the city council voted to move forward with a plan to create an adopt-a-park program for the city.

With council members Mike Naggar and James Stewart absent, the council voted unanimously to have the city’s community services department move forward with presenting a program to encourage business and community involvement in local parks.

Community Services Supervisor II Mike Wooten gave a presentation of the work he had done with city maintenance, rangers and stakeholders on the program that was requested by Mayor Matt Rahn.
