HS Boys' Water Polo: Local teams making a postseason splash

The Chaparral's boys' water polo team falls in the first-round of the Division 4 CIF-SS playoffs.

Brackets for the local high school boys' water polo teams were announced recently, and for teams like Paloma Valley, there was no better time than now to strike even harder. The Wildcats had an amazing regular season and capped it off by winning their first league championship in program history. The Inland Valley League champs picked up the No. 1 seed in Division 7 and hosted Jurupa Valley in the first-round winning 5-3, advancing to the quarterfinals Saturday, Nov. 3, to face Cathedral. That match ended with a Cathedral win, 9-7.
