HS Football: Few advance as first-round playoff action takes its toll on local teams

The road to the playoffs is a grind. The countless hours in the weight room, on the field and in the video room, plus the fundraising and team dinners and everything else that goes into team building and establishing team culture pays off when teams take the field for their first-round playoff games. Advancing is never easy and that was indeed the case as the 2018 CIF Southern Section postseason began last week for a good amount of the local high school football teams in the valley.
