Driver ejected from SUV in Winchester

WINCHESTER - A 17-year-old motorist was seriously injured on Tuesday, Nov. 20 in an SUV rollover crash in Winchester.

The driver was ejected from the Ford Explorer when it overturned at the intersection of Briggs and Holland roads and rolled into the front yard of a home just after 3 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived a few minutes later and found the driver lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to a regional trauma center in serious condition.

No other vehicles were involved, but there was damage to private property stemming from the crash, according to the CHP.
