Lake Elsinore Police recover stolen vehicle, arrest pair

Pedro Garcia, 28, of Perris and Wilhemina Perez, 39, of Good Hope were arrested by Lake Elsinore Police after they were discovered driving in a stolen car.

Perris and Good Hope residents were arrested in connection with multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in Lake Elsinore.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department's Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted an enforcement stop on a primer gray 1993 Honda Accord near the intersection of Central Avenue and Dexter Avenue. The deputies discovered that the Honda was reported stolen to the Perris Police Department on Nov. 9, and in the course of the investigation, arrested Pedro Garcia, 28, of Perris and Wilhemina Perez, 39, of Good Hope.

Garcia was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for vandalism. The passenger, Perez, was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for possessing a controlled substance. They were both booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
