Last updated 11/22/2018 at 11:12pm

Although it seems the holidays arrive earlier and earlier each year, there’s no denying the excitement that is generated when the big man comes to town.

Santa Claus will arrive in Old Town Temecula Saturday, Nov. 24, in grand fashion for the Holiday Magic on Main event from 6-9 p.m.

The Temecula Community Services Department will present the event for the fourth time, and large crowds are expected on Saturday night and throughout holiday offerings by the city in Old Town.

“Santa’s arrival is always the most anticipated event of the year for the child in all of us, and of course, to come see which Santa list you are on this year – naughty or nice,” Dawn Adamiak, Temecula community services manager, said. “Over 250 residents and visitors come to Old Town Temecula meet and greet Santa each weekend.”

After Santa makes his grand entrance, he will be found at Pennypickles Workshop for the rest of the evening. The museum has a plethora of holiday-related activities for children.

Holiday Magic on Main is just the start to a busy holiday season for the community services department.

“The city of Temecula hosts many wonderful events every holiday season including Holiday Magic on Main, Christmas Tree Lighting at the Duck Pond, Santa’s Electric Light Parade, Temecula on Ice, ‘Twas the Lights before Christmas holiday bus tours and bike tour, Breakfast with Santa and the New Year’s Eve Grape Drop,” Adamiak said. “Like all Temecula Community Service Department events, these signature special events bring our community together to celebrate, entertain and inspire.”

Adamiak encouraged folks to get to the event early and partake in the offerings from the many establishments and restaurants in the area.

“Old Town Temecula’s many delicious restaurants and unique shops are ready to welcome visitors to enjoy during this festive season and get some of your holiday shopping done,” she said.
