AGUANGA - A couple and their 1-year-old child were displaced by a fire at their Aguanga home on Thursday, Nov. 29.

The non-injury blaze was reported about 1:25 p.m. in the 44000 block of Star Gaze Way, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

Five engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging in the doublewide mobile home, from which the residents safely evacuated.

The flames were knocked down within 30 minutes, but the structure sustained major damage, making it uninhabitable, the fire department reported.

Red Cross personnel were requested to help the family, but they were able to secure an alternate living arrangement through friends, according to reports from the scene.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
