Southern California Edison hosts Alberhill System Project public workshops

The long-debated Alberhill System Project, which is slated to cost $464 million and add 10 miles of new power lines within the city and a large substation with a dual row of 500 kilovolts transmission towers proposed just north of the city, was discussed again Tuesday, Nov. 13 during two workshops hosted by Southern California Edison.

Back in May, Judge Hallie Yacknin at the California Public Utilities Commission determined that the system is not needed to assure reliable power in the Elsinore Valley.
