Firefighters hold training drills at Haunted Maze

A firefighter in full gear seeks a way out at the training drills held at the Haunted Maze Nov. 8.

Firefighters from Anza Station 29 made good use of the Haunted Maze at the Community Hall after its Halloween spookiness had ended and before it was disassembled. The first responders utilized the extensive pallet maze for training exercises.

"We had a Battalion 11 drill set up for Nov. 8," Dorian Sabenorio, fire apparatus engineer for Station 29, said. "However, we lost several of our engines to respond to the fires in Malibu, including our local Anza and Garner Valley Type III engines.
