Interfaith council announces winners of inaugural Humanitarian Awards

MURRIETA – The Interfaith Council of Murrieta and Temecula Valley has awarded its first Humanitarian Awards to Murrieta residents Saturday, Nov. 17.

Cheryl Young received the individual award for her service to various charitable and civic organizations as well as to the city of Murrieta where she led the implementation of the 9/11 Memorial at the Memorial Park near City Hall.

Darin and Kari Carlson, owners of Great Harvest Bread Company in Temecula, won the organization award for the generous distribution of bread to food pantries and charitable entities working to feed the hungry.
