New bus shelter opens in Wildomar

WILDOMAR – Bus riders in Wildomar got a surprise when Riverside Transit Authority unveiled a new bus shelter at the corner of Palomar and Central streets recently.

Before now, the shelter consisted of a simple bench that could seat up to three people. The new shelter has a sleeker look, provides shade, route information, a trash receptacle and comes equipped with solar-powered lighting. The project is part of a larger effort to upgrade and install new shelters across the service area.
