MENIFEE – The city of Menifee announced the launch of the Menifee Pulse podcast, Menifee’s newest form of communication. The podcast will be on air Thursdays after regularly scheduled city council meetings.

The “Menifee Pulse” podcast was inspired by the recognition of changing times in communications to the public. The use of nontraditional media as a means of communication has seen consistent growth over the last decade, and this growth continues to boom due to the internet and social media.

Today, citizens have shown an increased interest in using social media as a provider of information for public agencies, the city said in a statement, and to keep pace, Menifee is continuously seeking avenues to better communications to maintain transparency and keep residents informed of major city council decisions and City Hall news. To accommodate the growing preference to digital media forms, the Menifee Pulse offers a convenient source of information to residents and businesses to stay informed with Menifee updates, events and changes.

The Menifee Pulse will be aired every first and third Thursday of the month. The podcast is intended to cover the items that were approved at the previous city council meeting; however, additional topics will also be discussed such as economic development updates, community events, public works projects and additional information thought to be important to Menifee residents.

The latest episode of the Menifee Pulse aired Nov. 8. In this episode, Menifee Pulse hosts Jason Hendrix, Menifee’s community service supervisor and Kayla Charters, Menifee’s economic development analyst, discussed city council meeting updates such as the Menifee Business Spotlight, the Menifee Passport, the Audie Murphy Skatepark reopening, as well as upcoming Menifee events.

The Menifee Pulse can be viewed on Menifee Facebook page as well as the Menifee YouTube Channel and will soon be expanding to iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud and Google Play music. For any questions about Menifee Pulse, contact Kayla Charters at (951) 672-6777 or [email protected]
