HS Football: Lions fall in State Regional Championship, lose lead in second half

Everything seemed to be going right for Linfield Christian High School's Lions, who took a commanding 24-7 lead into halftime, but that's when San Diego High School pulled out all the stops. Those stops, were literally stops, as six of the Lions' seven drives ended in a punt or a turnover in the second half. One of the most successful years in Linfield's history ended with a 42-31 loss to San Diego High School, which hosted the CIF Southern California Division 5-A Regional Championship Saturday, Dec. 1.
