Melendez introduces bill to protect independent contractors in California

SACRAMENTO – Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, R-Lake Elsinore, announced she introduced Assembly Bill 71, which seeks to enact clear provisions protecting independent workers while rolling back the dangerous precedent set in the California State Supreme Court decision Dynamex Operations West v. Superior Court.

There is a good, a bad, and an ugly side of unions. Melissa Melendez is fighting the good fight, standing up to the bad side - the really ugly side - which is the political monster that unions have morphed into in California. We are no longer in the age of Norma Rae (Sally Field)... once a true story, which has now pretty much gone the way of The Flying Nun. Modern day truths require modern day perspectives... and Ms Melendez sees clearly what is going on.
