Registrar of Voters finalizes election

After a 30-day wait, the Riverside County Registrar of Voters certified the 2016 election results, Thursday, Dec. 6. The delay in results, which many complained about on social media, was typical for any election cycle thanks to the process known as the “Official Canvass.”

Riverside County Registrar of Voters Rebecca Spencer said that it typically takes anywhere from 28-30 days to finish tabulating and certifying election results.
