Hemet 2018 Tinsel Triathlon brings athletes from Southern California

Hundreds of triathletes, amateurs and professionals of all ages took on the challenge of the 33rd annual Tinsel Triathlon and 5-kilometer run held on the West Valley High School campus and Hemet streets Sunday, Dec. 9. The 5K run, biking and swimming contest began promptly at 9 p.m. under sunny skies as Hemet Police Chief Rob Webb sounded the start under the American flag on top of a Hemet Fire Department ladder truck.
