High Country Youth Center continues to move forward

The High Country Boys and Girls Club, the inspiration of local community activist Robyn Garrison, began in 2008 with the creation of a 501(c)(3) along with six additional Anza citizens, including longtime Anza resident, now deceased, Alice Hopkins, as board members. The club's purpose was to give Anza's youth a fun, safe and educational place to go and participate in activities.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of America initially asked that Garrison's organization partner with a sister club, such as the Boys and Girls Club in Temecula or the desert, but every nearby club turned them down, quotin...
